For 16 years and through four editions, Urban Pest Management in Australia (previously Urban Pest Control) has been the major reference work for Australian pest-control operators. - This edition has been significantly revised and expanded to reflect the many rapid changes that are occurring throughout the industry. - In particular, the treatment of termites, fungal decay, timber pest inspections, pesticide product information, and first-aid issues have all been extensively updated. - The section on insecticide products has been completely revised and reorganised into a more accessible, tabular format. - The increase in global trade has been accompanied by the unwelcome arrival in Australia of many exotic insect pests, which have posed a threat to timber products in particular. - An important new chapter 'Exotic Forest and Timber Pests - Quarantine Issues' describes the most significant of these pests and has been included in this edition.
