The presented book “Natural Disasters-Effects and Management” has been written in a very simple way in national language Hindi keeping in mind the undergraduate and postgraduate courses of geography of various universities. There are a total of 9 chapters in the book, in which the meaning, types, impact and disaster management policy of natural disaster with special reference to mountainous areas and the role of information and communication technology and the participation of disaster prone population have been discussed in detail.
