The Vampire Academy Box Set comprises three Vampire Academy novels by Richelle Mead which deal with the adventures of Rose and Lissa in a surreal academic setting. Summary Of The Book The Vampire Academy Box Set is a collection of three novels from Richelle Mead’s hugely popular series, Vampire Academy.  One of three works is titled Vampire Academy. This is the first of the series and deals with St. Vladimir’s Academy. This boarding school is not an ordinary educational institution but is associated with magic training. Essentially, the half-human teenagers are taught magic for self-defense purposes. The novel introduces Rose Hathaway and her close friend Lissa who also acts as Rose’s protector. Lissa, herself, is a Moroi Vampire Princess. Having been caught and forced into St. Vladimir, the two protagonists are pushed into a world filled with social pressures, strange rituals, and life-threatening peers.  The second work in this box set is called Vampire Academy: Frostbite. Set in winter, the story is about the vampire attack that threatens the boarding school’s existence. These dangerous Strigoi vampires are not the only threat in Rose’s life. She harbors feelings for her tutor, Dimitri, who seems more interested in her close friend. The final work is Vampire Academy: Shadow Kiss. This is set is spring. Rose has to graduate, but after the Strigoi attack, things fall out of place for her. She continues to battle out her feelings for Dimitri while dealing with morbid and depressing thoughts of her own.There is also the additional threat for Lissa’s life. As the novel progresses, Rose has to choose between her loved ones. This work notes the progress and development of the protagonist as she deals with life’s toughest questions. The Vampire Academy is extremely well-liked and has been well-received by young readers. About Richelle Mead Richelle Mead is best known for her fantasy fiction works such as the Dark Swan series, Vampire Academy series, and the Georgina Kincaid Series. Some of the books she has written are Succubus On Top, Succubus Heat, Succubus Shadows, Thorn Queen, Gameboard of the Gods, Frostbite, and The Golden Lily. She is an American author, born in Michigan, with a bachelor’s degree in General Studies and master’s degree in Comparative Religion. She also acquired a teaching degree which led her to teach social studies in schools. However, with the publishing and subsequent success of her first novel Succubus Blues, she left her teaching job to become a full time writer. She currently lives with her husband and pets in Seattle.
