The Hindus were the first to come up with an ethical principle for life generally known as Sanatana Dharma or the Eternal Tradition. This survives to this day. The word Dharma has wide connotations that include virtues, ethical behavior, truth, righteous living and so on. The Sanskrit word for it is rta or cosmic order. Order implies peaceful living and consideration of all living beings as equal as divine. This then was the original religious teaching that prevailed globally. As we know, Indians settled everywhere in the world in groups to bring this tradition to all in the world. This has been discussed by the author in this book in lucid and conversational style that makes the book very appealing.
