'I'm rewinding!' said Rose, as she unclenched her left fist. 'Works-like-magic.' Rose is a video freak. Her idea of heaven is sitting in front of the video, with a packet of marshmallows resting on her tummy. Her worst nightmare is the video breaking down - which is what happens one day. Rose's whole life is changed by a strange old man who comes to mend the video, and at the same time gives her the power to rewind and fast-forward her own life.
