This study addresses a wide range of the issues concerning the Village Information System and need base village development planning at village panchayat level in the Amethi Block. An effort has been made in this study to analyze the policy, planning of the Government of India, State Government of Uttar Pradesh, and District Planning along with the three tier Panchayati Raj System i.e. District Panchayat-Block Panchayat-Village Panchayat. It has been attempted to analyze the various rural development programmes launched by the Government of India and State Government of Uttar Pradesh, Zila Yojana (District-Panchayat, Block-Panchayat, Village- Panchayat). An effort has also been made to discuss the village development planning and implementation of various planned rural development programmes supported by Government of India, State Government of Uttar Pradesh & Zila Yojana of the Amethi. It has been also attempted to analyze the Block Panchayat level, village development programmes and village panchayat level planning and implemented rural development programmes and need base people participatory village development planning at the village panchayat level in Amethi has been analyzed in this volume of the study.
