Amaltas (Cassia fistula), also known as the Golden Shower Tree, is a deciduous tree renowned for its striking yellow flowers and medicinal properties. The Amaltas Phali (fruit pod) is long, cylindrical, dark brown to black in color when mature, and contains multiple seeds embedded in a sticky, sweet pulp. The pods can grow up to 30-60 cm in length and have a hard outer shell.
