W is for Wasted, by Sue Grafton, is the twenty-third book in the “Alphabet” series of mystery novels, featuring Kinsey Millhone. Summary of the Book The Alphabet series started with A is for Alibi, B is for Burglar, through U is for Undertow. In W is for Wasted, Kinsey is inspecting the deaths of a local private investigator and an unidentified homeless man. The investigation is going to change the course of Kinsey’s life that fall. What seem to be unrelated deaths in the beginning, later seem to be much more bizarre with more truths unravelling with each passing day. Will Kinsey be able to find the real culprits? About Sue Grafton Sue Grafton was born in Kentucky. She is an author of detective novels, best known for the Alphabet series. She started her career as a TV scriptwriter, before turning into a full-time author. She is married to Steven F. Humphrey and they live in Montecito, California, and Louisville, Kentucky, as her husband teaches at universities in both cities.
