It includes tourism, agriculture, fishing and cuisine among several other factors. The author foresees the impending difficulties that the coastal line might have to go through. The rising sea levels as an aftermath of global warming might adversely affect vegetation and coastal agriculture. People might have to be moved, fishing industry might collapse, erratic weather conditions can wreak havoc, and infrastructural facilities like ports and power plants can become obsolete. Diseases might start plaguing these places and the economy will crumble down if we still ignore the possibility of these negative changes.
