Waste is being produced by industry, discarded by consumers and left to kill our fragile planet. This linear cycle is wreaking havoc with our ecology, weather, and natural systems and is now at a tipping point. The Anthropocene era has raised more questions about the planet than it has produced answers. It is therefore high time that we work constructively towards addressing the issue from a holistic perspective. While many efforts are being done across the world, there is an urgent need to create the right kind of networks and synergize these efforts for larger impact. The book attempts to start a long-term dialogue with various stakeholders at the local and national levels and pave the way for a future plan that can be translated into action.
