Product Price Comparison
Part fiction and part autobiographical in its approach, Way of the Peaceful Warrior takes readers through Dan Millman's experiences and explains his ideas of spiritualism. Summary of the Book Early on in his life, Dan Millman ran into a man who would change his life and his world views forever. Aptly nicknamed Socrates, the old warrior warns Millman that to reach his goal of becoming a world-famous gymnast, he'd have to have far more energy than he'd ever challenged before. At the gas-station where they meet, Socrates teaches Millman the way of the peaceful warrior and rends the notions Millman had about every aspect of achieving his dreams. Coming of age themes and a strong message of hope blend together as Millman speaks of how the messages he learnt that night morphed his present and how it can do the same for anyone. This is a story of enlightenment and finding meaning in the world. Temptations are abound everywhere, as Millman shows using a playful woman called Joy as a metaphor, and it is up to you to look ahead anyway and keep going in the direction of your dreams.
