Jackson’s Web Technologies: A Computer Science Perspective is a comprehensive book on the crucial technologies that were and are being developed for the origin and a constant growth of the massive World Wide Web. The book details extensively on those technologies that are otherwise just briefed upon in the non-Web computer science courses. It guides the students to understand better and set up their own software environments. The book has a large number of exercises and projects and other assignments that help students to understand the practical applications of the topics. SOAP, WSDL and Java based development tools are predicted to be huge in the days to come and there are several examples given enabling the students to learn more and in-depth about the subject.
