The present book is a brilliant study of feminine sensibility at work in the fiction of Indian women writers,with a focus on Anita Desai, Kamala Markandaya,Nayantara Sahgal and Ruth Jhabvala. It offers new insights on the portrayal of women characters and the diverse ways in which they artriculate their voice. The operating system of the book is simple and can be easily extended to other areas of creative writing. The study makes a rich contribution to the corpus of the contemporary feminist literature and women's studies.About Author : K. Meera Bai is a Reader in English,in K.V.R. Government College for Women,Kurnool. She has had a brilliant academic career. She obtained her Ph.D.degree in English from S.V.University,tirupati,di[ploma in Distance Education frokm IGNOU, New Delhi, and P.G.Diploma in Teaching English from CIEFL, Hyderabad. She received the Best Teacher Award for 1955 from the state government.
