Amsterdam University Press regrets that in this book on page 195, 2nd paragraph, last sentence, an unfortunate translation of the original Dutch text has been made. The sentence should read : 'Of course Roemer was controversial, with her idiosyncratic, polemical and sometimes virulent views, but she was also controversial because she was able to create a completely unique literary universe.'
