Fiction by women and on women is dominating the contemporary literary scene. The modern novelists recognize the displacement and marginalization of women in society and have produced powerful literature in that area. On the other hand, some of them have made attempts to turn the pattern upside down through their writings and presented bold and daring women, out to challenge the traditional society.
