The story of Highprince Dalinar Kholin and his supporters continues as Kaladin, a military slave learns to deal with his powers as the first magically gifted Knight Radiant in ages. The war with the Parshendi over the assassination of the king continues, with the human armies entering the Shattered Plains to end everything. However, the Parshendi are prepared, risking the return of a fearsome foe from the past. And it is up to Kaladin to master his powers as the first Windrunner and to fulfill his role in the grand system of the world. About Brandon Sanderson Brandon Sanderson is an American writer. Highly prolific, he is famous for Elantris, Mistborn and Steelheart, and for finishing the last three books of Robert Jordan's fantasy epic: The Wheel of Time, writing The Gathering Storm, The Towers of Midnight and A Memory of Light after the latter's untimely demise. Sanderson graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Creative Writing. He occasionally teaches Creative Writing and is a part of a regular podcast for writers entitled: Writing Excuses.
