Education is a lifelong activity, delivered both informally by the education sectore (for example, by schools, technical and further education institutes (TAFE) and universities). The education sector has a range of abjectives, of which some are common across all levels of education ( for example, to increase knowledge ) and others are more specific to a particular level of education ( for example,with vocational education and training (VET), to provide skills and learning directly related to work) The description we offer of the responsibilities of profesional educators. and how they might be fulfilled is informed by our observations of many educatiors and many and maby members of the professoriate who exmplify this professionalism. Fortunately such paradigm cases abound throughout all levels of education and in nearly every institution of education. in one way of looking at this work, its goal is to have those exemplars accepted as appropriate paradigms rather than exceptions to the current rule of parctice that has abtained.
