This book attempts to document the leadership role of the youth at the grassroots level in India. Containing narratives of the volunteers, mostly youth, in serving the people in general and the poor in particular, it discusses at length how they struggled to achieve success in their war against corruption, gender inequality and social injustice. Also, it deliberates on the Gandhian model of development, harmony and development, crisis management and the role of youth in strengthening the panchayats.
