Phoenix rising from the ashes

The Phoenix is a legendary bird that is said to burn itself and emerge again anew from its own ashes. Each successive generation is stronger than the previous one.

‘Phoenix’ is a collection of seventeen women-centric poems which trace out her life journey through all trials that she face. The poems in this volume are not just poems; they are songs of freedom, of victory, of triumph. A woman has to struggle at every phase of her life. These struggles may take the form of patriarchy, misogyny, stereotyping and societal expectations from a woman.

These challenges may break her but they cannot crush her fighting spirit. She will bounce back. Women are warriors; they have the ability to exceed their limits and emerge stronger than ever. These poems reiterate the fighting spirit of a woman and her unconquerable nature. A woman is a soldier, she can fight her own battles; she is a healer, she is a warrior, she is the Phoenix.
