This book is different from the usual run of the mill type. It has no adult stuff and aimed keeping mainly the young adults in mind. The stories mostly presents a difficult situation ,but ends with humourous solution. Thus, Kanu will melt the heart of anybody when one reads about the struggle and misfortune of a boy from Andhra village .However the move from a good samaritan turned a hostile situation to his rescue is an anti climax and full of houmour. The Bicycle Thief is a humourous story of yester-year in Poona describing friendship of a lonely Parsi lady and a lively Bengali family with four daughters with a humourous end. The Untold Story narrates the pride and prejudice of a senior bureaucrat in the background of Allahabad and the his desperate attempt to eliminate the beau of his lovely daughter through black magic . It ends with the unsuccessful attempt and a usual sweet ending . .The suddenly old friend narrates a chance meeting of two old friends in a remote Maharashtra town and ends with the mysterious appearance of village lady speaking fluent French in a frenzy. Deathless Rose is story of a holidaying youth in a Himalayan nook and saving of a shrine from the vandals by a deathless presence . Every story is of different hue ,some have mysteries in them and some are pure humour.
