He wasknown for his heroism, scholarship and patronage to fine arts,strong faith in Hindu religion in spite of his religious toleranceof other religions, trade with the foreign countries,construction of grand temples, etc, and simultaneousmaintenance of balance between the enjoyment of materialwealth and spiritual detachment, and combination of idealismand pragmatism. All these qualities of the past ruler are stillrelevant and imitable to the modern rulers of our country. Thenovel shows the permanent relevance of history to moderntimes.
