Across the Universe is the first title in the young adult science fiction trilogy by the same name, written by Beth Revis. Summary of the Book Godspeed, the spaceship, travels a hundred years in the future, toward a distant planet. It has in it 100 cryogenically frozen settlers. One of them is seventeen-year-old Amy. She happens to wake up earlier than she is supposed to and finds herself in the middle of an unknown, strictly maintained society formed by those born on the ship over generations. With the assistance of Elder, the ship's only teenager and future leader, Amy has to solve a murder mystery to save the ship. Will she be able to succeed before time runs out? Series Reading Order Across the Universe is followed by A Million Suns and Shades of Earth. The Body Electric is a standalone novel set in the same universe. About Beth Revis Beth Revis is an American author known for fantasy novels and science fiction. Some of her other works include As They Slip Away, After, and Shards and Ashes. Revis currently lives in North Carolina.
