Aditi is a young bright Calcutta girl on a trip to Pondicherry with her parents. On the train she meets a young man, Amitabh, who, having finished his PhD, is looking for a job. They like each other. After the trip they part ways, Amitabh promising to call them up once he reaches Delhi. The call never comes...Meanwhile Amitabh has moved on in life. He gets married to his classmate, Sandhya, but trouble starts when Sandhya is no where to be seen on the night of the reception.The story moves to Pradip, an IAS officer, who is strict and is hence disliked by politicians, all CMs, ministers, compromising seniors. His wife is frustrated with this middle-class life and finally they decide to separate.Meanwhile, a double crime happens in which Pradip is badly injured and a massive crime syndicate is exposed.The story again zooms in on Aditi. She meets Amitabh after many years. What happens then ?
