Phosphorus (P) is one of the major growth-limiting macronutrients required for proper plant growth, particularly in tropical areas, due to its low availability in the soil, Phosphorus is the second most important macronutrient required by the plants, next to nitrogen. Yet, the availability of soluble forms of P for plants in the soils is limited. Phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB) are beneficial bacteria capable of solubilizing inorganic phosphorus from insoluble compounds
