Years later, Joe Keller leads a happy life. He takes care of Deever’s daughter, Ann. His son, Chris, falls in love with Ann and they have an affair. Yet, Joe’s guilt at the failed business and his partner’s imprisonment continues to haunt him. After the war, his other son, George, returns home, only to discover that his father has taken Deever’s place in prison. The play deals with his emotions and portrays those of a man who is crumbling from his guilt towards his friend’s fate. About Arthur Miller Arthur Asher Miller was an American playwright, theatre personality and essayist. He has also written Death of a Salesman, The Crucible and A View From The Bridge. Miller was a prominent figure in the theatre circles in the 1940s through the 1960s. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the Prince of Asturias Award and the Jerusalem Prize. He was also married to Marilyn Monroe.
