All animals are equal, but in George Orwell’s dystopian novel Animal Farm, some animals are more equal than others. When Major dies, two young pigs called Snowball and Napoleon take control of the farm and ready it for the Rebellion. The animals drive out the drunken and irresponsible farmer Mr. Jones, rechristening the farm “Animal Farm”. In a perfect comic satire on communism and the Russian Revolution, the animals form their own government in the farm and institute the Seven Commandments of Animalism.
