Mathieu Needle Holders are used to hold suture needles, the needle holders have pliers handle, a leaf spring and ratchet at the bottom. The tip of the needle is wide at the bottom but less wide at the tip with cross-serrations on the entire tip. The needle holder can be locked and unlocked by squeezing the handles.
