This young man fights the war under Colonel Hamilton, and Captain Guy Trentham who is a cunning yet coward man. Upon his return to London, Charlie sees that his small outlet is now a vegetable grocery store named Trumper: The Honest Trader. He realizes that Rebecca has made him successful. The narrative then shifts to Rebecca, who gets befriend by Trentham. He promises to marry her.  However, when she gets pregnant, Trentham leaves the country. Rebecca realizes that she has been betrayed, and marries Charlie after giving birth to her son, Daniel. The narration of As the Crow Flies is then done by an acquaintance of Rebecca. Daphne advises the couple to recruit a person in their business who has connections, and class. Colonel Hamilton is offered the job, and he tells readers how he realised that Trentham’s mother bought a group of apartments just to prevent the Trumpers from doing the same. As the Crow Flies goes on to show the complexities that Mrs. Trentham tries to generate in order to keep causing trouble for the Trumpers’ business. About Jeffrey Archer Jeffrey Howard Archer is a British author and former politician. He studied at Oxford University. He became a Member of Parliament and was the Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party. However, his political career ended after his conviction for perjury. His first novel, Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less, was published in 1976. He has written novels, short-stories, play and some non-fictional work. Some of his novels are A Matter of Honour (1986), The Fourth Estate (1996), False Impression (2005) and Paths of Glory (2009). Archer is married to his wife of 46 years, Mary Archer, and they have two children. The couple live in London and Cambridge.
