After the departure of the creators Goscinny and Uderzo from the series, Asterix and the Picts is a new comic book presenting the adventures of Asterix and Obelix the Gauls in their ever-humourous fights against the Romans, the Pirates and most memorably: the Lochness Monster. Summary of the Book When a Scotsman washes up on the shore near the little Gaulish village, Getafix the Druid nurses him back to health. He reveals that he is a Chieftan, and that his home is under attack by the Romans. Asterix and Obelix are sent off on an adventure to help the Picts fight off the Romans, and to help the Chieftan rescue the love of his life. About the Authors Didier Conrad is a Belgian comic book artist. He is most famous for his work on Les Innomables. Jean-Yves Ferri is a French writer, designer and comic colourist. Former to his work on Asterix, he was known as the colourist of Le Retour à la terre, Aimé Lacapelle and Fables autonomes.
