It is a creeper. So a support is essential on which it can spread and flower. This plant produces single layers flowers (Either white or blue). Aparajita or Butterfly Pea is one of the beautiful flowering vines of the tropics. Even though it is a tropical vine it can usually be grown like an annual in many places farther north. The Butterfy Pea comes in an assortment of colors from Sapphire Blue to Pale Pink. This variety produces extremely bright white flowers. The flowers are edible and the plant itself is a key ingredient in Ayurvedic tonics in India.
