Gandhashtak or Ashtagandha is a compound made by mixing eight scents, which is used for offering in worship and writing instruments. According to the system, different Gandhashtak law is found for different deities. Panchdev (Ganesh, Vishnu, Shiva, Durga, Surya) are predominant in the system, under them all the gods are considered for the sun- Water, saffron, leprosy, blood sandalwood, sandalwood, Ushir, agar, camphor.
