Bamboo has been in the news for many reasons and has a potential of changing the lives of the forest dwellers as well as that of the Tribal communities. In the book Shelly Shaurya has tried to capture all the aspects of bamboo regime and tried to make it an interesting read. He has focused on the gaps in the Indian Policies and efforts to regain the trade supremacy encompassing strong methods to help accomplishing this goal. This book examines the possibility of creating a dominant bamboo regime and have suggested ways so that a sustainable, respectable livelihood for the tribal people can be achieved.
