Batman: Noel is the classic retelling of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol with characters from DC Comics's Batman universe by Lee Bermejo. Summary of the Book When Batman interrogates a man named Bob, working for the Joker, he attaches a tracer on him and follows the man to his house as he returns to his son Tim. Batman decides to arrest the man so that his son doesn't turn to a life of crime like him. Back at the Batcave, Bruce is catching a cold, and Alfred tells him that his plan sounds like the one that got Jason Todd killed. Bruce begins to have visions of Jason, very much like how Scrooge had visions of Marley in A Christmas Carol. Characters such as Catwoman and Superman play the roles of the Ghosts of Christmas Past and Present, taunting the Batman. The Joker plays the role of the Ghost of Christmas Future, and hatches a plan to kill the Batman. Can Batman escape from this yuletide peril? Or will he fall to his inner demons, as well the macabre ghosts around him?
