Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Again was originally a third issue comic book limited edition series which was published way back between November 2001 and July 2002. This book is the first ever complete collection of all those issues compiled into one anthology of sorts. This book tells the story of an aged Bruce Wayne who had been forced into hiding thanks to the tyrannical dictatorship which had taken over America. Now, three years since his ‘exile’, Wayne returns to set things right. But things are not what they used to be, friends are hard to come by and even many of the once great superheroes of old like Spiderman, Wonder Woman, and Captain Marvel have been forced to work for the government through blackmail. With a set of old school heroes comes a set of old school villains including Lex Luthor and Brainiac who have effectively taken over planet earth. But things are not what they seem. In this book filled with twists in every page, there are some unlikely heroes and a few very unlikely villains. It is up to Batman to find out which is which if he is to save America and the world.
