Cambodia is a land of mistique past and contemporary modernity. The history of Cambodia is rich with heritage, kingly grandeur and breathtaking artistry of stone structures constructed as if it sings godsend poetry. North of the country holds those majestic archeological ruins of Angkor around the city of Siem Reap while the capital city of Phnom Penh, a major modern metropolis is at the centre. And on the west lies the evolving port city of Sihanoukville, growing as a major commercial and entertainment centre on the gulf of Thailand. This travelogue pictorially tells the reader about this great land, of its ancient past of Angkor era of Hindu and Buddhist kings, their legacy, left in monumental awe-inspiring stone architectures as also the contemporary times that evolved on the influence of the French colonial rule during last century.
