ABOUT THE BOOK The present book has been designed and organized with the viewpoint to help the students to pinpoint the correct choice in a multiple choice question. In most of such cases two or more options may appear alike. This is where a clear concept and a sense of scientific logic make all the difference. In several questions there may be only a hairline difference. The questions in the book have been designed so as t develop the concept of the subject and scientific logic systematically. This helps the students in improving their scores. Tricks and blind answers may be disastrous and should not be practiced. Correct answer key has been provided at the end of each chapter. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Dr. Harendra Kumar graduated in Chemical Engg. from BIT Sindri, did M.Tech. in Chemical Engg. From IIT Kharagpur and Ph.D. in Chemical Engg. from Pt.Ravishankar Shukla Unievsrity, Raipur. He has guided around 20 M.Tech. and 2Ph.D. from NIT Raipur. He has more than 25 publications in national andinternational journals and has authored a book on environmental clearance. He has worked for more than 38 years in NIT Raipur (earlier GEC, Raipur) and retired as Professor/HoD/Dean of faculty. There after, he was appointed Chairman of State Environmental Expert Committee by Govt. of India. He also served as consultant of C.G. Council of Science and Technology, Raipur.
