It is designed to serve as a map of India’s crafts and is essential for scholars and others who have an interest in Indian crafts. About Jaya Jaitly Jaya Jaitly, a Keralite, graduated in English Literature from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. She founded the Dastkari Haat Samiti, a association of craftspeople from around India. The association has taken the responsibility to train, promote and organise its members for better marketing through innovative strategies. Artisans from all over India come together for this purpose. She created the Dilli Haat, a marketplace in Delhi that encourages the livelihood of these artisans.
