Published in 1915, this gazetteer is in the prescribed form of all gazetteers: It takes up in separate chapters the various aspects of a district to give a concise account of all aspects of the area. Divided into 15 chapters it contains the physical description, the political history, the agriculture and irrigation, the forests, occupation and trade, means of communication, rain fall and seasons, public health, education, land revenue administration, salt and miscellaneous revenue, administration of justice local self government, and then the list of taluks that comprise the district.
