Dantya Shabdawali is a collective of universally used technical terms in the field of dentistry in Hindi language, attempting at presenting them in a compiled manner.There are many general as well as specific technical terms (or terminologies) commonly used in dentistry, whose correct translation according to their usage in dentistry, is still not available in Hindi language and other Indian languages. This academic book is an attempt to bridge this gap on a rational basis so that the attractiveness of Hindi language can be increased in the medical and scientific community. This book contains a glossary of more than 100 technical and scientific terms covering many related areas to dentistry, such as teeth and jaw types, tooth parts and surrounding tissues, dental diseases and disorders, dental equipment and instruments, and dental specializations and specialists. In this compilation, dental terminologies of the above mentioned are translated into Hindi language so that these “terms” (or terminologies) can be related with a meaning similar to what is being used and applied in dentistry so that it is scientifically and technically logical and correct.This glossary can aid in translating these terms (or terminologies) into other Indian languages as well.
