"About the Author: Dr. Dimple S. Padawe graduated from Nair Hospital Dental College in 1994 and pursued Post graduation in Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry from Government Dental College and Hospital, Mumbai in 1998. Presently she is working as Professor and Head of Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry at Government Dental College and Hospital, Mumbai. She is also the Dean (add.) of Government Dental College and Hospital, Mumbai. Additionally she holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological counselling from Institute of Behavioral Sciences. In 2011 she pursued Post Graduate Diploma in Tarot Reading and Spiritualism from Institute of Vedic astrology and then MBA in Health Care Services from Sikkim Manipal University in 2012. In 2016, she completed Post Graduate Diploma in Human rights from Institute of Human Tights. She has 20 publications in various National and International journals to her credit. She is the author of a book titled “Dental care for school children” for National Rural Health Mission. She also contributed towards making a training manual titled “Training manual for dental surgeons on skill development in dentistry” for Directorate of health services. She made a dental App for mobile users named “PEDODONTICS” for parents of young children as well as for dentists and received “Entrepreneur of the Year” award for the same in 2019. She is Chief Editor of the Journal named International Journal of Advanced Dental Sciences and is also the Vice President of Research Society of Dental college & Hospital, Mumbai."
