Though potentially hazardous these gases can safely be transported by ships holding special types of containers which can be handled in jetty system specially constructed at seaports. This book covers design of the jetties used for LPG and LNG transportation along with navigation and risk analysis. Besides the designing of the jetty fendering system navigational channels tanker moorings requirement of shipping tugs etc. Also discussed is hazard analysis along with rules and regulations specific to handling LPG and LNG tankers in a port complex. The book is expected to serve as a handy guide and reference to all the engineering personnel engaged in designing of LPG and LNG jetties including navigation and administering the seaports and navigation channels keeping the operational hazards in check.
