A blood-sucking vampire leaves his home to find a mate. Dracula is the definitive vampire novel and the most famous work of Bram Stoker. Summary of the Book When Jonathan Harker meets Count Dracula, he knew that all the rumours were false. This tall, handsome gentleman couldn’t be responsible for all the disappearances in the vicinity of the dark, brooding castle he called home. Harker came to visit Dracula on behalf of his firm, which was handling a financial transaction related to a real estate purchase Dracula was undertaking. The Count lived in Transylvania, and that required someone to come down to this country to discuss the terms and conditions. Jonathan Harker regretted leaving his lovely fiancee Mina behind, but he knew that after this, his marriage with her would seal their lives together. However, during his stay at Dracula’s castle, he begins to suspect that the rumours he so easily dismissed might be true. For one thing, there are strange seductresses in the castle, inhuman and nearly feral. And the Count himself seems prone to rage, and he seems to disappear during the daytime, returning only at night. Jonathan flees the castle, and he finds refuge at a mental asylum. However, he has no idea that his own family, and his beloved Mina, are in danger. Count Dracula is abroad, and he seeks a mate. What kind of creature is this so-called nosferatu?
