Dream Of A War' is a novel, which highlights the growth of a boy in the insurgency hit area of North-East India. Hunkon, the main character of the novel passes through various levels of understanding the issue of insurgency while he was growing up from his childhood to his youth. The most enchanting idea of taking part in a war to acquire freedom of his motherland is the central theme of the entire novel. The postponement of the expected war ultimately disillusions the main character of the novel, who at last becomes a critique of the entire process of struggle.
