Islam makes it mandatory for its followers to seek knowledge and travel distant lands, in serach of it. Holy Quran says that God has given us knowledge and skill to grab it and impart it to others also. Quranic commands are enthusiastic to provide the people with such knowledge so that he could be able to make distinction between good and evil and could emerge out successfully, shapping his life in a better way. Islam showers on its followers varied ideas and knowledge in terms of education . It lays emphasis on enriching a child with education. About Author : S.Z. Rahman did his M.A. in Urdu from Delhi University and has always been fascinated by Islam and its various facets and has always nurtured the wish to learn more about Islam as a faith. Businessman by profession and an Islamic scholar by choice he never gave up his interest in Islam and still pursues the learning about Islam as and when he can.
