Elements of English Pronunciation is an essential reading for advanced level course study of English language and linguistics and for teacher-trainers. The book gives sufficient information about the current status of English: its place and value in the international scenario. Of course, the book has also touched the acoustic analysis of English sound system particularly of vowels structure and of the accent that affect the form and content words and their meaning in functional English.It should be useful to both native and non-native speakers as well. In a lot of varieties of the accents of English the book favours the RP variety that has been mostly followed by the native-speaker of Britain especially the Londoners, prestigious varsities like Oxford or Cambridge and the BBC.
