The work draws on the author's nearly thirty years of teaching experience and abiding interest in mechanization of Indian coal mines. This book provides a good appreciation of mine ventilation technology, the importance of which to mine planners cannot be overemphasized. Mine ventilation planning forms a very important part of mine planning. On its correct planning depend not only the safety and future development of the mine but also the health of the miners. This book will prove useful as a reference work to practicing engineers and as a textbook for undergraduate and post-graduate students of mining and mining mechanical engineering.
