Elephant on the Chips is a part-spiritual, part-autobiographical memoir by Infosys senior executive Paddy Rao. Summary of the Book Nearly fifty years after the death of his father, an event which shook his life and started him on his journey which has spanned a million miles, Paddy Rao takes us back to his childhood. A frightened eight year old, Rao's childhood was shaped largely by the sudden death of his father and this led to his stalwart resolve to face his problems head on. His courage is a result of the two women in his life and his encounter with a mysterious Yogi who introduces him to an amazing guru. Through his teachings and doctrines which incorporate the message of silence and self discovery, Paddy Rao finds his inner self. About Paddy Rao Paddy Rao is an Indian businessman and corporate leader. His tenure at Infosys as the Vice President of US Operations showcased his skills as a multi-dimensional leader in the Information Technology industry. A graduate of IIT Madras, Paddy Rao went on to study at IIM Bangalore. His professional career has also spanned Delphi, GE Healthcare, General Optics Asia and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.
