Empowering women in India-Needs Prospects and Challenges is a peer reviewed research based edited book. The book intends to provide an academic platform to researchers/scholars belonging to Indian Educational Institution to project issues related with women empowerment in India. The book is the collection of research based paper from the teachers/scholars of India. The authors try to examine major issues such as the social status of women in India, their empowerment, working condition, wage structure etc. The book also analyses the problems faced by Indian women particularly those belonging to vulnerable and disadvantage groups. It explains various comprehensive policies, programs and schemes initiated by the government of India for the empowerment of Indian women. The book has given some useful suggestions for improving the condition of Indian women.
