The environment issues in India are huge . Whether it is the rapidly dropping water tables, land degradation or river contamination. India has it all on a massive scale. To protect the environment on the Globe, different steps have been taken by the governments all over the world including India. In view of the relevance of the subject an attempt has been made by me to compile the editorial notes on Environmental Law: An Emerging issues in India. The objective of Environmental law is to protect the environment from pollution. But law is not enough to tackle the problem, awareness among the masses is more important in preserving the environment
