Bruice has written Organic Chemistry and Study Guide/Solutions Manual For Essential Organic Chemistry. She is the winner of two Mortar Board Professor of the Year awards, Associated Students Teaching Award, and the Academic Senate Distinguished Teaching Award. She graduated with a Ph.D in Organic Chemistry from the University of Virginia. Bruice has been a faculty member of the University of California from the year 1972.
